New Stories of Finnish Art

A fantasy tabletop roleplaying game inspired by Ateneum Art Museum’s Stories of Finnish Art exhibition.

Set at the turn of the 20th century, during a period when Finland was shaping its national identity, this game invites players to create characters based on Finnish Golden Age artists. Through these characters, players reimagine the dominant narratives of Finnish art, considering diverse perspectives. While the game follows a traditional tabletop format, it also transforms into a live roleplaying tour through the exhibition. As the game master, I lead participants while embodying Carl Gustaf Estlander, then-president of the Finnish Art Society, weaving historical and imaginative elements into the museum experience.
